On some food packages, nutritional information about vitamins and minerals may be displayed on a different and detailed label. The aim of these labels is to inform consumers in detail about the vitamin and mineral values of the product.

In Figure 6, Daily Calcium Requirements label on Migros Milk package is shown as an example. Dairy products are the most important sources of calcium for children and also for adults. Therefore, an extra table about “Daily Calcium Needs” exits on Migros Milk packages. In this label daily calcium needs are divided in to age groups and for each group % daily value of one glass of milk is stated. Calcium requirements for pregnancy and lactation are also stated in this label.
