The aim of Migros energy and nutrition facts label and “Nutrition Signals” is not only to provide the legally mandatory information but also to guide consumers to compare products with respect to their nutrient ingredients as well as their price and make more conscious decisions. Figure 10 and 11 show examples of energy and nutrition facts labels of 2 different types of yoghurts.

If you pay attention to your sugar consumption and make your food decisions in accordance with that, you should consider the carbohydrate amount stated in the label of the products. Labels above show how important the energy and nutrition facts labels are, at the time of taking the purchasing decisions.
In the example above, amount of carbohydrate in Migros 1500 g. Yoghurt is 7 g. while it is 21 g. in yoghurt with fruit. In this case, if you consider about your sugar consumption, you should better purchase the first product, which has the lowest amount of sugar.
