When you look at energy and nutrition facts label of a product you should first look at the serving size and the number of the servings in the package.
Example: If the serving size of milk is 1 glass (250 ml), then 500-ml. milk will have 2 servings (2 glasses).
Serving size of a product is based mainly on the product and can vary in terms of 100ml/100g/portion/package. In Turkey, there is a legal mandatory to construct energy and nutrition facts label using one of the terms above. In Figure 10, nutrition facts of a product are stated for both 1 and 2 portions to give you an idea about the intake of the nutrients.

% daily need of a nutrient can give you an idea about the nutritional content of the product, so you can evaluate the product as nutritive or not.
